Account Deletion
Learn how to delete your Konnekt Marketplace account and what happens to your data
If you wish to delete your Konnekt Marketplace account, you can do so by following these steps:
Log into your account
Sign in to your Konnekt Marketplace account using your email and password.
Go to your Profile
Navigate to your profile page by clicking on your profile icon in the top navigation.
Find the Danger Zone
Scroll down to find the "Danger Zone" section at the bottom of your profile page.
Request Account Deletion
Click "Request Account Deletion" and follow the confirmation steps to submit your request.
If you are unable to access your account or prefer to request deletion via email, you can send a request to:
support@konnekt.co.ke
Please include the following information in your email:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- The email address associated with your account
- Your full name as registered on the account
- Reason for deletion (optional)
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
- Your profile information and personal details
- Your saved addresses and payment preferences
- Your wishlist and cart items
- Your product listings (if seller)
- Your reviews and ratings
- Account login credentials
- Transaction history (for tax/legal compliance)
- Order records (retained for 7 years)
- Payment transaction IDs
- Dispute and refund records
This data is anonymized and retained only as required by law.

During the 7-day grace period, you can cancel your deletion request by logging back into your account. After this period, the deletion process is irreversible.
- Pending Orders:If you have pending orders as a buyer or seller, please complete or cancel them before requesting deletion.
- Wallet Balance:Withdraw any remaining balance from your seller wallet before deletion. Unclaimed funds may be forfeited.
- Active Disputes:Accounts with active disputes cannot be deleted until the dispute is resolved.
- Irreversible:Once your account is deleted, you cannot recover your data or use the same email to create a new account for 90 days.
